a vacation…. bloody Nora we needed one, what with leaving the country, and all that entailed, and buying a house we decided to take a vacation (note it’s not even a holiday anymore)
Well after an evening getting all excited over Mexico, Grand Cayman and the Car-RIB-eean, even Disney, we settled on Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for our anniversary vacation.
We’ve never been to a family resort destination in high season, but after the initial culture shock I think we would do it again. No fine dining, or high culture, but plenty to keep us occupied, straight out onto the beach and indoor and outdoor pools- lazy rivers are all the rage it seems, but with temperatures and humidity both through the roof you can see why sitting in a rubber ring and just floating around to cool off is such a hit.
As I write a storm is outside and everyone waits for it to get rid of the humidity and make things a bit more bearable, we’re getting ready to go try something called Magiquest
